This primary bathroom remodel in Bellingham, WA was designed to create a relaxing retreat overlooking Chuckanut Bay. The homeowners wanted to transform their outdated bathroom into a more comfortable, functional, and timeless space where they could enjoy the water views.

The original fiberglass shower was removed and replaced with a custom tile shower featuring a built-in bench, handheld showerhead, and slip-resistant floor tile. A grab bar was added for extra safety, and a glass panel helps reduce spray while keeping the shower open and easy to access.

A barn door was installed to separate the shower and toilet room from the rest of the bathroom, improving privacy while saving space. The built-in jetted tub was replaced with a classic clawfoot tub surrounded by marble tile, creating a beautiful place to relax and take in the view.

The vanity was upgraded with a frameless design to increase storage and create a clean, modern look. Quartz countertops, a matching backsplash, undermount sinks, and recessed medicine cabinets add function while keeping the design streamlined. The mirrors were thoughtfully placed so they can open for a full view while getting ready.

The finished bathroom is calm, practical, and timeless, blending classic details, improved safety, and beautiful Chuckanut Bay views into a relaxing primary suite retreat.
