This luxury primary bathroom remodel in Bellingham, WA began after a leak caused significant damage to the original primary bathroom. Rather than simply repair the space, the homeowners chose to completely transform it into a luxurious, spa-inspired retreat with timeless character and modern comfort.

The new design includes heated floors, a rain shower, body jets, a freestanding soaking tub, and a quiet ventilation fan with built-in music. The shower was designed with creamy square tile, a built-in niche, a bench, and elegant fixtures in luxe gold and pewter for a warm, refined look.

To create room for the soaking tub, the existing closet area was reworked into part of the bathroom layout. Built-in shelving was added for storage, along with a small coffee bar that makes the space feel even more like a private retreat. Space from an adjacent room was used to create a new, more spacious walk-in closet, and a pocket door was added between the two areas to save space.

The existing vanity was refreshed with a dark painted finish that coordinates beautifully with the hexagon floor tile. Calacatta quartz, creamy wall tile, and mixed metal fixtures bring together an old-world feel with modern function.

The finished primary bathroom feels calm, elevated, and highly personalized, combining spa-like features, thoughtful storage, and timeless finishes for a space designed for everyday luxury.
