This modern cottage primary bathroom remodel in Bellingham, WA was designed to make the homeowner’s new bathroom feel more luxurious, functional, and full of charm. The existing tub and shower combination was removed to create a large curbless shower with a clean, open layout.

Inside the shower, we added a wall-to-wall niche for convenient storage and a tile-ready drain that blends seamlessly into the shower floor. The on-off valve was placed on the opposite wall from the showerhead, making it easy to turn on the water without getting sprayed (no more wet sleeves).

Green and white checkerboard floor tile brings color, personality, and a classic cottage-inspired feel to the bathroom. A white oak double vanity adds warmth and natural texture, while champagne bronze fixtures create a soft, elevated finish throughout the space.

The finished bathroom feels bright, timeless, and welcoming, combining modern function with charming cottage details for a primary suite that feels both practical and luxurious.
