This Tudor-style kitchen remodel in Bellingham, WA was designed to preserve the charm of a 1920s home while creating a more functional, modern workspace. The homeowners loved the history and character of their house and wanted the renovation to feel timeless, not overly new or out of place.

To honor the home’s original style, we selected finishes that complemented the period of the house while adding everyday comfort and convenience. Solid wood flooring was installed to create a seamless transition from the dining room into the kitchen, helping the spaces feel connected and cohesive.

Simple white Shaker cabinets brought a clean, classic look to the kitchen, while butcher block countertops added warmth and natural texture. Bronze fixtures were used throughout the space to enhance the historic feel and provide a rich contrast against the white cabinetry.

A large apron-front sink gives a subtle nod to the freestanding sinks often found in 1920s kitchens, combining vintage character with modern function.
